Jesus Will Return

“Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.” (John 4:26)

The woman from Samaria that spoke with the Lord at the well was told by Him that He was the Messiah, the Lord’s Christ. This truth was revealed to Peter as well.

“And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matt. 16:16)

It was supposed by Herod to be true enough that he sent soldiers to kill every child under the age of two years in Bethlehem, and the Lord was crucified by those for jealousy’s sake just in case it was true.

For over two thousand years now the Most High has been calling out a people for Himself from among those who were not part of the vine, of the lineage of Abraham, but who by faith are called the seed of Abraham, and since that day we call Pentecost, when tongues of fire landed upon those in the upper room, we have been professing this truth, that the Lord Jesus Christ is going to return.

The response of millions has been, by His grace and mercy, “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Rev. 22:20)

But by billions of others it has been, in one form or another.

“And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2nd Peter 3:4)

We plead with these, we beg them to listen, we pray for them, but if they will not listen, if they refuse His offering of eternal life, we treat them as Gentiles, we stop casting His pearls before these swine.

And then we move on to the next person.

By faith we know without a doubt that the Word of God is truth, we know that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, that He is the only way to the Father, and so in faith we keep searching for the lost.

Those who have been blessed with Spiritual discernment can easily see that the days we are living in reflect the truth that the time of the Gentiles is coming to an end, enough signs have been revealed to us that it is not necessary to seek for more. The Rapture will happen, the days of Jacob’s Troubles will begin, and once again, in semblance, Herod will send soldiers to kill children.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Rev. 12:11)

Like Simeon, who knew that he would not die until he saw the Lord’s Messiah, we know what we speak of is truth, the Holy Spirit has revealed this to us, we have tested the Spirits, searched the Scriptures, and have no doubts. And so, we speak of His offering of grace, of eternal life, we add to our words a warning, time is short, it is time to make a decision.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2nd Cor. 6:2b)

I offer you a semblance of hope today, one I believe to be truth.

Some of those that you speak to about our Savior, about His love for them, as well as these beginnings of sorrows that we have been appointed to live in for His glory, may be some that have been appointed to be left behind after we are called to meet the Lord in the air.

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1st Cor. 15:52)

They may not hear His truths, but they may listen, they may be as that woman at the well who believed because, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” (John 4:29) Or like Nathanael who heard from the Lord, “Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.” (John 1:50)

How you were saved by grace through faith, that moment of revelation when you were born-again, was different for you than it was for me, or anyone else. In that moment you knew truth, His truths.

We have a message to give, some will listen, most will not, some will hear. Leave the harvest up to the Lord, you keep bringing the message, and the warnings to them.
