It’s Still Out There

There is still beauty in this world, husbands are still purchasing flowers for their wives, grandmas are still baking cookies, small children are still painting masterpieces with crayon markers for parents who will cherish them as long as they live. My beautiful wife still calls me handsome sometimes, I continue to call her precious occasionally, there is still plenty of beauty left in this world, but that is not what the world wants you to focus on today, they want you to believe that love is a lost trait, except perhaps in some commercials, they want you to believe that it takes all of us, that if we just pull together, we can get through this, but not until they are finished informing us just how bad it is “out there.”

If it was not for pride, for jealousy, for envy and strife, I would agree with them. I also would say that we can get through this, but I understand full well that when this particular “this” is over, they will find another reason for us to become and remain hopeless. I know how to fix this mess, on a planetary world-wide scale, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” (Matt. 22:39) Problem solved, nobody bickering, no more vanity, no more arguing or war, just love your neighbor as yourself. But that is not going to happen, is it, you and I both know it will not.

Have you ever noticed how our Lord is going to rule in the millennial period, I could be missing something here, but it is not only as far as I can tell with love, it is going to be with a rod of righteousness, it will be with supreme authority. That is what is occurring on a world-wide scale at this moment that we live in, men are jockeying for position, they want to be as close to the top as they can get when everything starts to collapse. I feel sorry for them, not just for their eternal souls, but in the knowledge that they do not know that this time it is not going to be safe for very long even at the top.

I am quite sure that those very few who are in contact with the spiritual darkness in high places (Eph. 6:12) feel quite comfortable at this moment, they feel secure and emboldened, but they are just as deceived as the person on the lowest rung of the ladder, perhaps even more.

Satan’s lies are easily believed by those who lack spiritual discernment, to those who do not give pause to consider the Most High God. These individuals long ago lost the ability to see what is left of loveliness in the world, pride has blinded them, things have taken a firm grip on their hearts, the power they feel gives them the opportunity to feel unstoppable, yet they never learned one very important fact, God is no respecter of persons. (Romans 2:11) “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” (Isaiah 45:7)

The Almighty has chosen this time that we live in to set evil men over this planet, they do not know it, but they are fulfilling His will. But He is doing something even more beautiful for us, He is allowing His children to be comforted at this time. “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thess. 4:18) I see nearly every thing that all of you are witnessing, but I do not fear them, in fact, I find joy in much of it, for I am being comforted. Will it get worse for me, I don’t know, ask yourself that question, and then ponder this statement, is it a question that you will be contemplating a hundred, a thousand years from now?

For every sight of evil that you see from now on, search out two of beauty that are still here, watch your children play with no concern for tomorrow, watch as your cat sleeps in the sunshine, or as your dog rolls in the grass. Lovely things are still out there, and the best is yet to come, keep your eyes upon Jesus, and your heart will never be captured by the woes of this world. You have been offered a peace that passes all understanding, accept it with the love that it was offered to you with.
