“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)
That’s it, that’s all you have to do, and it is not only easy, it is not only a joy, a pleasure, a great honor and privilege to do so, but it is love that drives that obedience, and that love encompasses every desire we have to be pleasing and profitable to Him who spoke these words, to Him who first loved us.
If you are a homosexual who continues in that lifestyle and believes that Jesus loves you, you are seriously mistaken and will not enter into the Kingdom of the Almighty, but will be cast into eternal darkness. If you are consumed with pornography and know it to be a great sin against Christ but do nothing about it because you believe He forgives everyone, prepare your soul for eternal suffering. Adulterers, pursuers of the lust of the flesh, prideful people, those of you who believe Jesus loves those who follow the rainbow flag, those who believe we must perform works or adhere to the Law to be obedient to Christ, prepare for the worst.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (1st Cor. 6:9-10)
You will not hear these words on Sunday morning in very many places that call themselves houses of worship anymore, too forward, too truthful, far too contentious, and you most definitely will not see the pastor point at someone sitting in the pew and saying, “Repent, for we know of your wickedness before the Lord.”
“And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.” (Matt. 18:17)
No, they will continue to let them sit in the pews, calling them a weaker brother, a carnal Christian, one to whom the Lord is speaking to, one He loves, even in the depths of moral degeneration, even if they never repent, its better than an empty spot in those pews, and who are we to judge, is not God love?
Every sin is to be forgiven whether repentance if offered or not, we attempt to circumnavigate the truths of the Scriptures so as not to offend, we speak to those living a lifestyle of great sin as if they are our brothers and sisters in Christ, we are polite towards evil. “Thus saith the Lord” is not heard from the pulpit, those in the pews are not taught to hate evil, but to love everyone no matter what, never judge with righteous judgment, never stand on the truths of the Word of God, unless it draws no attention to yourself.
Those who misinterpret ‘love your enemies’ do not witness to the lost, and if they do so it is only in that form, that God loves them just as they are, that there is no need to repent of their evil lifestyle, in fact it is not even brought up, for that would make them seem judgmental, and in the place of God. “Perhaps God will save them, it’s not my place to point out that if they do not repent they will go to hell, and besides, that would be rude.”
There are some who are beginning to stand in these evil days, they will not wear the pride emblem on their sports uniform, they speak up when the transgender is allowed to participate where they should not be, they point to the individual and say, “Repent, or you will also perish.” But are you, are you standing or acquiescing, are you speaking up in love, or is God only love to you?
