Information

What programmers put into a computer, the software and hardware designs, is all that computer understands, it is the parameters that it not only must abide in, but can only abide in, it cannot perform any function that it has not been programed to do. Advanced Intelligent System are no more advanced than the information they have received, a toaster cannot be a refrigerator. “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Imagine that the only informative thoughts that you have are from the Word of God, no other outside information has ever been offered to you, no internet, television, radio, books, nothing whatsoever but the Scriptures, do you think that you would be a saved individual? This is how far too many who call themselves Christians think, because they have read the Scriptures, they are the chosen of God, there is nothing else needed. They have, as the children of Jacob did, abided by the commandments, they have as best as they are able performed the deeds written down by the hand of God in His Holy Word, and so by those actions, they profess to be children of the Most High. They feel saved, they act saved, but their hearts are far from Him. (Matt. 15:8)

Actions performed are the proof of our salvation. “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” (James 2:18) But if those actions do not reflect the love of Jesus Christ, if they are not done solely for the glory of God, they are useless, they are nothing more than a programmed response to the information stored within the human mind. “I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.” (Amos 5:21) Without a personal relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ, without the power of the Holy Spirit leading a man for the sole purpose that God would be glorified, without a man dying to self, there is nothing but information applied.

“Because the Bible says I should do this” is not proof of salvation, if it was, adherence to the law given to Moses would be able to save a man from his sins.

This is, for the most part, what the church has devolved into, a simple functioning machine that does what it is told to do because it has been told to do it. “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Matt. 17:20) If the only verse that you ever heard from the Scriptures was “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (Matt. 22:37) how would you accomplish that, what would you do to fulfill that commandment?

With the mind we debate and calculate the given information, we decide what is truth and what is a lie, with the flesh we place that information into action, we act upon that which we believe to be the truth. But it is with the heart, our emotional response to these known truths that we are judged. “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” (1 Sam. 16:7)

Only the Holy Spirit can convict a man of the truth of the grace of salvation through Jesus Christ, only God can give a man the faith that is necessary to serve Him in a way that honors the Most High, these things can be received in no other manner. A man who has been so blessed by the Lord can behave in no other way, the information that has been placed within him is the hard drive that controls all of the other systems within him, God is to be glorified, that is the main and sole objective of our operating system, and all because we love Him.

“Garbage in, garbage out.” You have a lot of information stored within you, you must decide what is profitable and what is not, this is called free will. How you live your life is what determines what is the most important information to you. It is by those actions of the heart that we will be judged. “In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” (Romans 2:16)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
