“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1st Cor. 15:52)
A few short decades ago many who profess Christ imagined that the world would be thrown into utter chaos when the Rapture happened, major businesses across the planet would grind to a halt, airplanes would fall out of the sky, school’s would be virtually empty. Do you believe that would still be the case if it happened before you finished reading this short letter?
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matt. 24:12)
There are now an unheard of before eight billion people on the planet today, yet iniquity is abounding, sin is growing by leaps and bounds, and instead of vast multitudes of born-again believers coming into view, we see dead churches inviting the world and corrupt religious systems into their buildings.
Here is truth, iniquity cannot abound unless the Holy Spirit allows it to, the lights of those who have truly been crucified with Christ are not growing dimmer, but there are far fewer of them than you might like to believe.
I watched part of a short program on one of the mainstream media sites the other day, a rare thing for me indeed, the subject matter is what caught my attention. It was about how Christian persecution is growing across the planet, and at their request they had a Roman Catholic on to speak about this subject. That is how far away people in general have gone, believing those who profess a faith in Romanism to be Christians. And how has it entered into what is still called by those same people in the Evangelical churches? Most who sit in those pews would call themselves Christians as well, while they allow female pastors, while they hold up the homosexual community as loved by the Lord, while they lock their doors and put their masks on, while they invite the heathen to sit in their assemblies, claiming that God is love, all are welcome, that no repentance is necessary.
If you honestly look out upon the world today, if the Rapture happened tomorrow would it shake the world to its core, or simply be given a few minutes of time on the nightly news, explained away by some climate change anomaly?
“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matt. 7:14)
What percentage of eight billion is a few?
Consider this, when was the last time a stranger approached you and began a conversation about the Lord Jesus Christ, how often does that happen to you? Few my friends, very, very few are truly born-again.
Are your friends, family, relatives and coworkers expecting you to just disappear one day? Have you told them that it might happen to you, have you told them why?
“Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.” (Heb. 13:13)
Have you prepared yourself to go? If you have pets you love, children that are not saved, have you notified people that if the news comes that, hopefully, hundreds of millions have disappeared, to come to your house and find homes for them? The news of course will not be accepted in most churches, if we can call them that, on the following Sunday, for most will still be sitting in the spot they have assigned for themselves over the years. But I bet I know what will be on that big monitor up there, the news of the world, just like it usually is.
