He Will Prove Himself

Here is the problem, you can’t prove it. Here is the greatest difficulty, us trying to prove Him.

There is an entire planet of people that are lost, billions of them, they are on their way to eternal damnation, we have been given eternal life, they will experience eternal death, we know the way, they refuse to submit to the way, you know their end if they die in their sins, there is no question about this truth, it is a fact, but there is the problem, we cannot prove these truths to them. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1) We have been tasked to show the unseen to the lost, the things yet to come, in their minds we are insane, we are magic men trying to show them a trick, we are confused and in need of assistance, mentally deficient. This is not how some of them see the born-again believers, it is how all of them see us, with small variances here and there.

We love them, and they hate us for that, they hate us because they do not have the calm assurance, they hate us because they are blind. Many Christians will do all that they can to show all they meet the truth, the words of Scripture, what has occurred in their past, the hope and promise of the future is expounded to these lost souls, and still they hate you, whether it be in simply avoiding us or severe persecution, they hate us because we bring a message of love to them, of the truths of the Sovereign Lord who rules all creation, who did the unthinkable, who died for those He created.

Here is where you must understand truth, not one person on this planet is our enemy, yet none of the lost are our friends, we fight against principalities and powers, and those powers sometimes are in the guise of human forms. Do not be misled, these are not demons who have entered into and now control human beings, although that is not as rare as you might think, these are conscience individuals capable of making their own decisions in their lives, they have the power to do the same as you and I do. Eternity has been written in their hearts, (Eccl. 3:11) and they have willfully by their own choice chosen to rebel against the Lord God. These are the wicked that the wrath of God abides on, (John 3:36) He does not separate the sinner from the sin, nor should we. People contrary to all you have been taught and heard, are not generally good inside, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23) “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9)

My friends, how do you treat the sinners you know, do you treat them as gentiles, (Matt. 18:17) we are not to treat our brothers and sisters in Christ the same way that we treat the gentiles, the unrepentant sinners in our lives, the Scriptures are quite clear on this matter. We are to love them with the love of Christ, and that love has only one desire, that they repent. The lost are not the children of God, they are the wicked, they are not given now nor will they ever receive any of His great blessings that He bestows upon those who have accepted His Son Jesus Christ as Lord. They are not our enemies, but neither are they our friends, and they are certainly not our brothers and sisters in Christ, they, all of them, are our neighbors, and we are to show the love of Christ to them.

That is how you prove it, that is how you prove Jesus Christ to them, you don’t, He does, through you. He is the only proof we can give to them; our responsibility is easy for His yoke is easy, (Matt. 11:30) we are to submit to His will. Those Almighty God desires to call, He will call, if you are willing to be used by the Lord He will use you to call them with His Word and your actions. He will be then all the proof they need.

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)
