“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Rev. 21:4)
Where those who have been crucified with Christ are going is unimaginable to us, you will experience love there in such a way that you have never known before, to a depth that we cannot begin to comprehend while here in the flesh. Everyone you meet in heaven will love you, they will cherish you, everyone will not only be friendly towards you, but will be your family, and in a way that you have never experienced before.
You will never be looked down on again, for there will be no pride there, the most beautiful lady and the most handsome man will never be viewed with even a hint of lust, we will all be brothers and sisters, and all in Christ.
The golden streets, the jewels, emeralds and precious stones will cause no greed in you, for they all belong to you, we will rejoice over those with many crowns and rewards, for envy will never enter into our minds again.
“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.” (Isaiah 65:17)
Jealousy, envy, pride, lust, hatred, greed, avarice all gone never to return.
There is a freedom awaiting us that we have never known, the flesh will never grow weary, hunger will be a thing of the past, living waters will be available forever. Eyes will see clearly, ears will be opened, all will be whole, none will ever know sorrow again.
These truths should be spoken to all who do not yet know Christ as Savior, for they are more than words of hope, they are promises, and He who has promised is faithful. He offers this and more than we can ever imagine, and it will last and continue to grow throughout all eternity.
“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16:11)
That path lays before you, it is easy to see, not so easy to follow at times, but many have gone before us, so it is easy to see. The prize is the Lord Jesus Christ, it is He that paved the way, and it is He we need to follow. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:3)
I am no foreseer of the future, but I think that place is almost done, for the road ahead of us looks extremely hazardous, not dangerous, for it is the Lord Jesus Christ that leads us, but things are beginning to look as if the age of grace is quickly coming to a close. Here I ask a question of you though, what are your eyes fixed on, that which seems to ensure great pain and suffering for this planet, or that place where those two things do not exist?
When you see the latest horrific news story, when you see blatant sin covering not only the planet but in the lives of so many people, do you fear, or do you smile at the thought that soon you will be in the presence of joy, where pleasures forevermore await you?
Everyone will be your friend, everyone will love you, everyone will smile at you as they walk by. Peace forevermore, contentment unimaginable in this life. The Lord Jesus Christ calling you His own, the righteousness of God in Christ for all eternity.
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” (Prov. 4:18)
There is a verse that has been one of my favorites for many decades now, I think of it at times as I watch the horror and depravity flow across our television screen, as I watch evil being called good and good evil, as I watch millions every week marching, no, running to hell. Memorize it, recall it often, it is peace of the heart exemplified.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1st Cor. 2:9)
My friends, my brothers and sisters in Christ, He loves you so much.
