He Chose You

A worldly view of Christ is not a proper view to have, it is just as incorrect as applying the word “impossible” to the Living God.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1st John 5:7)

It would not have been necessary for our Savior to call upon twelve legions of angels, He did not need to feel hunger if He did not want to, healing people was no more difficult for Him than creating the heavens and the earth.

“Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:” (Heb. 10:5)

And He submitted Himself fully to all the needs of the human frame, because it was the will of the Father. Fully God and fully man, incomprehensible to the human mind, words that speak truth, but only words to us in the depth of their meaning.

That worldly view of Him while at the same time realizing that He is the eternal Living God, three in one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is not a concept we can grasp, and we never fully will. This my friends is called faith.

Who has, in this regard, more faith, those who witnessed the plagues of Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea, those who spoke with the Lord Jesus Christ, who walked with Him after they witnessed His death, or those who have never seen the hand of God move in mighty ways such as these and all the other recorded miracles in the Scriptures, yet still believe?

“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)

Faith in a man claiming to be God whom you have never seen, who has never visited you, sat down and spoke with you requires more faith than those 1st John 1:1 speaks of.

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;”

Here then is the question for you, how do you need the Almighty to move in your life for Him to prove to you that He is real?

“A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.” (Matt. 16:4)

Do not feel ashamed if you need some sign, you are in good company, John the Baptist questioned, Thomas walked with Him and still needed more proof, ten plagues, water from a rock, manna from the sky, countless examples of proof, and yet for many it was not enough.

My friends, if you are in need of signs, of some form of continuous revelation from the Most high of His existence, of His love and care for you then you must ask yourself this question, does this verse honestly apply to you?

“The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17)

The Son of man is also the Son of God, He is also God, if you look upon Him as anything else, you are not seeing clearly, if you believe while He walked amongst us in the flesh that there were limits to His deity, to His sovereign power over all creation, then you are looking incorrectly. But if you also need some sign, some proof of who He says He is, then you must contemplate this, how many signs? How many miracles must arrive in your walk with Him before faith in Him rests firmly upon your soul?

Adam walked with Him in the garden, and it wasn’t enough. If you knew who I once was and who I am now, you would have no doubts as to the miracles in my life. Can you say the same? If so, then why ask for more?

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

The firm foundation of our faith rests in believing the truths of the Word of God, in the promises of the Scriptures, not in miracles witnessed. If you have been born-again and desire proof of a miracle, go look in the mirror, search your memories, see who you once were and witness the miracle of how much of that old nature has died for the glory of God.

The miracle is that He chose you, that should be enough.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
