Growing Temptations

I believe that as the days grow darker, as we come closer to the end of the time of the Gentiles, the temptations placed before mankind by our adversary will grow in intensity, and I believe that the factual proof of this statement is self-evident.

“And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:27)

The sin of homosexual behavior has been “lessened” by replacing those actions with the innocuous letters of LGBT, and several others following them, but that has not changed the fact that this is a grievous sin in the eyes of the Almighty.

“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:32)

Those who are in authority over the nations have and are increasingly enacting laws that punish any who disagree with these blatant sins, and therefore will receive as well what they have sown.

If you are not in a nation where crime is being perpetrated without punishment, then you are in one where nearly every movement you make is monitored and recorded, all for the purpose of attempting to force obedience, either by being punished for attempting to fulfill James 4:17, “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” or by attempting to cause some form of fear in those who would obey Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” (Eccl. 8:11)

The consequences of sin are removed when it is revealed that there will be little to no personal repercussions for one’s actions, and thus in our day Matthew 24:12 has come to pass.

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

Those who are doing these sins and those who are not only agreeing with them, but allowing them, are of one breed, of one family, and neither see a reason to resist or inhibit their sinful desires, for in their own way and words, they are repeating 2nd Peter 3:4, “And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”

Shadrach, Meshach and Abedego would not obey the command to bow down before the obelisk, Peter and John said, “Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.” (Acts 4:19) The Lord Jesus Christ made a whip before He went into the temple, “For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.” (Psalm 69:9)

Romans eight says we are to obey those in authority over us, but there are many examples in the Scriptures that reveal at times this is not to be the case.

The temptations are growing stronger, and I believe that everyone who has truly been born-again not only recognizes this truth, but in some fashion can feel them within themselves.

The subtlety of Satan has no equal.

A minor sin against our Father in heaven is still a sin, and if considered by us as a lite thing, of an action that needs no repentance, it will be dealt with. Not as He will deal with this world soon, but as a family matter, as a Father to an errant child.

It is quite easy for those who have been blessed with Spiritual discernment to see that these temptations that are common to all are becoming commonplace, that many in authority have deemed it better, more profitable, to follow the way of Satan instead of the will of God. This verse has become truth in these days.

“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:18)

Fear is coming that they cannot comprehend, not just for seven years if they do not repent, but for all of eternity. Lovers of self are not lovers of God; the temptations are too strong for them to deny. And they may become very difficult for you in the coming days.

You must employ every part of the armor you have been given, now is not the time to behave frivolously. Stand against these temptations, stand for Christ.
