Good Versus Saved

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)

I do not think the Lord would be upset with me if I paraphrase this verse thusly, “Good people will be persecuted and punished, evil people will be lifted up and rewarded.”

There are of course no “good people,” only God is good, but there are people who believe it is proper to protect their families, but some of those who do so within the laws of the jurisdiction of where they live are being punished. There are those who stand by the truth that there are only two genders who are being punished, who attempt to stop people from stealing from stores and businesses, who reveal truth online who are being cancelled, and my guess would be that you could offer several instances of those and many more that just a few, very short years ago would be considered incredulous, beyond belief.

My friends, when the hedges are lowered, Satan does not send scouts to survey the landscape, he has been preparing for these days for thousands of years.

The question for you is this, are you prepared for not only what is yet approaching, but what has arrived?

A man’s character and integrity is understood by others in how well he keeps his word, do his actions reveal an adherence to what he has professed in the past.

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8)

The fear of the Lord is reverential trust in Him and a hatred of evil, so this evil you are witnessing, are you prepared to stand against it as fervently, and even more, as those “good people” who do not fear the Lord are? I do not mean holding up a sign in a protest gathering, those evil men who are in positions of authority pay no heed to those that do so. Holding hands, singing songs and participating in candlelight vigils will do absolutely nothing to stop their progress.

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)

I mean this in no offense to those who pray or to our Father in heaven, but these words I have been led to pen many times in these short letters to you are truth, what is approaching cannot be stopped, God is not going to raise the hedges back up.

The great Tribulation is casting a shadow behind it, and we are in that shadow. Are you willing to stand in it, have you had to yet?

“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” (Psalm 94:16)

Rising up means preparing for hand-to-hand combat, preparing to stand no matter the personal cost to yourself. Good people have done so millions of times over the centuries, but not for the glory of God. Here is where we differ from them, not in the fervency of our belief structure, but in the One we believe in.

As evil men are rewarded, good men will suffer, but there is a world of difference between suffering for what you believe is right and being persecuted for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Almighty is not going to reward anyone for standing up to a man in women’s attire attempting to deceive little children, but He will reward those who do so in His name and for the glory of the Father.

You must be able to tell the difference here, if you are going to stand against evil it cannot be because you know it to be wrong, it must be solely because your Father in heaven hates it, and therefore so do you.

Be aware of this truth as well, if you stand for Christ those good people may start to hate you as well.

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)
