“What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:” (Romans 9:22)
The brute beasts, the wicked and those that the Lord has given over to a reprobate mind. Do you hate them or love them?
Since we are commanded to love our enemies, do you consider them your enemies, and if so, how? What do you do for those that are wicked, consistently, those whom you have witnessed to many times, who still despise you, who treat you badly, and only for their own entertainment? As you contemplate your answer, consider these verses.
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” (Matt. 7:6)
And “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” (Romans 12:18)
If there is someone in your life, in your circle of friendships that is a brute beast, or one who has been given over to a reprobate mind by the Almighty, one whom He has stopped knocking on the door of their heart, and yes, He does do that, then why do you continue to try? If your enemy, and God’s enemy, has been allowed to place you in a cell, no matter the reason, you are to pray for them, but what of those who have made it quite clear that they have no desire to hear anything at all concerning the Scriptures and you are the one that keeps visiting them?
Are we not told to not associate with, no, not even to be around the brother in Christ who has chosen the path of the season of sin, to treat that person as a Gentile? How much more the wicked?
“And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;” (2nd Peter 2:13)
Yes, some of them sit right next to you in the pew every Sunday morning, you know this, and you still associate with them.
These truths go against the very nature of nearly everyone who professes to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior today. Unquestioning love is the way they have chosen, but the truth is that either they have decided to rebel against the will of God, they have fallen into the “Jesus loves everyone” ideology, or they are reluctant to stand for the truths of the Scriptures. These have no problem casting the precious pearls of the Word of God into the swine lot.
We do not repay evil with evil, we do not seek vengeance, but we are not to have a longstanding, deeply personal relationship with the wicked. We are not even to associate with them.
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” (2nd Cor. 6:14)
“If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:” (2nd John 1:10)
The sodomites and their rainbow flag, those who we are to allow to steal, the evil that the world, Satan’s world, is attempting to portray as those we should love is the first step, and many have willingly walked right into his trap. If the Almighty loves everyone, then just who is He speaking about when He says His wrath abides on the wicked? Who are these brute beasts fit for destruction? Who are those that we are not to cast pearls before, who is the Holy Spirit calling swine?
I pity you if you cannot tell, if it takes you years around someone, if you have not been blessed with Spiritual discernment in this area. But hope springs eternal, does it not, especially when it is a close friend, or even a family member, hope springs eternal.
They are God’s pearls my friends, I would be extremely cautious who you offer them to.
