Gain or Loss

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17)

Blatant sin against the Most High God has come out of the shadows, but you must understand this, there can be no shadow unless light is cast upon an object. That light is Christ, and you, if you have been born-again, are the one responsible to shed that light.

This is not an option, it is not a choice, it is a commandment, we are to be the lights of the world, the salt, the light of the truth of not only the love of the Savior but of His displeasure of the wickedness of man is to be shown through us.

”The labourer is worthy of his reward.” (1st Tim. 5:18b)

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

There is no excuse if that light is not shown by you, none will be accepted by the Lord on your day of accounting, fear, embarrassment, personal loss or reprisals, no excuses are tolerated by Him whom we serve.

I believe this is not how most who claim to serve the Lord think these days on this subject, they honestly believe that the Lord will forgive those moments when they knew they were to act, when they were supposed to speak against the evil. They are using grace as a cloak.

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17)

There is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence, if sin is shown to you, if evil is placed before your eyes there is a reason for it, and that reason is to allow you to stand for righteousness, to stand for the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who do so will be persecuted, this is a promise, but what of those who do not, is there loss to them?

“For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.” (Mark 9:41) Just this one verse states the obvious truth, rewards can be lost, and one cannot lose something unless they have first attained it. These rewards are all in the Spiritual realm, if you will, yet the future casts a shadow before it.

You have been commanded to do something by your King, but for whatever reason, you do not perform that deed. He is still your King, that will never change, you are still loved, that is eternal, but His displeasure now rests upon you, for in your disobedience you have dishonored Him by denying His Sovereign Lordship over your life.

Treasures will be withheld, rewards gained will be lost. And in this life my friends is the only place they can be gained.

I cannot say how we will react in heaven when we learn that we are not allowed access to certain items or pleasures because we disobeyed the Almighty here, that has not been revealed to us, but the Scriptures make it clear, your salvation will be eternal, but rewards can be lost, removed because of our inactions in this life.

There are grave responsibilities for those who serve the Living God, there are no shadows to hide in from this truth, you are expected to stand for Him. No excuses will be tolerated.

We are tested in these truths in this life, you know that for a fact, we are given opportunities to gain the crowns, to earn rewards, they are not given to those who will not serve fully and well.

If you have been saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, it will not be blotted out. The extent of your service to the Almighty is determined by you though, it is by your own free will in love that rewards are gained. Actions performed in submission to the will of the Holy Spirit gains them, inaction can lose them.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
