Freed From Them

“They” are always in charge, in control, they are always of the world, and they always hold power by deceit, deception and by force.

They are the large corporations, the governmental agencies, they have acquired wealth and wealth can and is used to coerce people into obeying their will. They are the principalities and powers, (Eph. 6:12) and all principalities and powers are set in place by the Lord, (Romans 13:1) whether by His own hand, or by allowing our adversary to set them up.

Fear is the main construct that is always used by them, and the more forces they acquire, the greater fear that they can impose upon those they desire to serve their will. It is called the natural course of evolution by mankind, the strong rule the weak, we call it evil, for it is in direct rebellion to the Lord God, and He is merciful enough to allow it.

Free will must be allowed if love is to be expressed, not the free will to choose our own destiny apart from the will and Word of God, but in accordance with it, for that is what mankind is always shown in the end, that their free will is what has held them accountable to the Most High, the choice was always ours.

There is no end to the pursuit of what the world offers, it is always available to all who will but seek after it, but even when Satan begins to rule as lord upon this planet, when he stands in the temple and demands worship, (2 Thess. 2:4) many will say “No.” Only the Lord God is the Supreme Ruler of all that is, man is but dust (Psalm 103:14) and all that he fights and strives for he will eventually lose, all that Satan has in this world will be lost to him, only God is Sovereign. “The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” (Psalm 24:1)

Those who have been crucified with Christ see no value in anything they own save for how it can be used to glorify the One who owns all, it goes far beyond being a good steward of these possessions, it is relinquishing the right of ownership, even unto the path of our lives. Here is where we begin to see the futility of those we call “They,” those we do not put a face and a name to, those who have not come to the realization of these truths, and here is where love begins in the life of those who have been blessed with these understandings, with this wisdom.

The easiest way I have found when I have conversed with these pride-filled, self-centered individuals to help them in love to understand fully the futility of their lives is to ask them, “What are your plans for five hundred years from today?” It reveals to them what they already know, but if it is not followed up with the truths of the Word of God of the only two options after a man dies, it avails little, they remain “Them,” they may ponder these truths, and sometimes when we are witnessing to them that is all we can hope for.

Every time that you speak to someone, no matter their position in this world, their social status, the wealth or poverty they live in, your responsibility in part is to remind them that they are going to die and lose everything that they fought so hard to attain in this life. “And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (Job 1:21) Most realize this truth, few accept it as such, all will find it to be inevitable. It is love that compels us, for we know their end if they do not repent and call upon the Lord God for mercy, forgiveness and the salvation of their souls.

I know where I will be in five hundred years from today, serving as I am now, albeit in a different manner, so to speak. And I know where “They” will be if they do not repent. That is why we do what we do, the truth has set us free, (John 8:32) and men who have been freed from bondage and realize it are the first to reach out to those who are still trapped by it.
