“What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:” (Romans 9:22)
Now, look at the next verse. “And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,” (Romans 9:23)
Another, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” (Isaiah 45:7)
And the last in our opening compilation, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Rev. 4:11)
The Almighty, the Living God created Lucifer with the full foreknowledge of all that he would do, from rebelling against the Lord God’s sovereign authority over all creation to his eternal place in the Lake of Fire, He made man in His image, knowing full well that he also would deny his Creator, He made heaven and hell, He creates evil and is not just the epitome of love, but is love itself, and all for His pleasure.
“I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:” (Isaiah 45:5)
This is not a fire and brimstone sermon letter, this is not a letter to you expounding upon the love of our Creator or His wrath, it is simply explaining certain facts, known facts, unalterable, undeniable truths. Me friends, hell was created for the Almighty’s pleasure as much as heaven was, there is a place of eternal suffering prepared for those that deny Him as much as there is a place of eternal joy for those that acknowledge Him as who He is, Sovereign over all of His creation.
He is willing to suffer some so that He may show His mercy upon others, and all for His pleasure.
We have been given the record of this, from before the foundation of the world until we walk into eternity to begin the next age. “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Eph. 3:21)
Do not think that the Lord was waiting for mankind to arrive to spend fifteen hundred years to write His Holy Book, He is not bound by His creation of time, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He knows the names of every human being ever born, of every angel, of every devil, of every planet and star, He is everywhere at all times, there is no past, present and future with the Almighty.
The Living God is indescribable, there are no words in any human language to describe Him, no thought of man can fully understand Him. He has shown us in His Holy Word as much about Himself as He deemed it necessary for us to know, and by faith we accept it, all of it, as truth.
To study His wrath alone would avail you nothing, to understand as much as the finite mind of man can the infinite Creator of all reality is to seek the face of God, and to understand that all that is was created for His pleasure is to know humility.
Pride, vainglory has no place to stand in the throne room of the Most High.
“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” (Psalm 8:4) Specks of dust in an infinite creation, made into living souls for His pleasure.
“Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?” (Isaiah 40:13)
“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.” (Job 38:4)
Infinite mercy on those that love Him, never-ending wrath upon those who do not. This is who we serve, and there is no choice in the matter, the choice in how you serve has been left entirely up to you.
Consider that word “Sovereign” well, for it applies itself to only One, the Living God. “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
We have no clear understanding of His love for us, and we never will, until we come to the realization of the truth that His wrath will rest on those who deny Him eternally.
