Follow In Faith

“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” (Gen. 12:1)

Each day, to a certain degree, I do not know where I am going, I trust the Lord to lead me, He trusts me to follow His leading. He is patient with me, He understands that I cannot see that far ahead, that the physical pain He has allowed to come into my flesh as of late hinders my walk and at times consumes my thoughts. He knows that I do not know today’s path fully, He asks only that I trust and follow Him.

Abraham heard His voice clearly, whether audibly or in his soul we know not, but he was not given a map with directions on it, he looked up each morning of the journey to the land promised to him and knew which way to go that day.

“Give us this day our daily bread.” (Matt. 6:11)

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matt. 6:34)

I was called and chosen by the Most High God through faith in His Son the Lord Jesus Christ nearly four decades ago now, but only in the last few short years have I been able, or blessed perhaps I should say, to see the path in a clearer manner. In part it is because some of it I have travelled before, experience is an adept teacher, as well is the number of years lived once they grow to a greater degree, but they are not the best teachers.

Obedience to the will and Word of God allows the mind that serves the Lord Jesus Christ the ability to hear the Holy Spirit clearer, the path becomes somewhat more visible, and although some parts of it may have been traveled before, there is each day something new, something that requires us to trust in His leading, to follow in faith towards that which we do not have the ability to see fully.

This is called faith.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1)

I have plans for today, plans my Father in heaven will either allow or modify according to His design for my life, the physical pain He has seen fit to bless me with at this time will hinder those plans, cause them to take longer, slow the pace of my desired end towards them, but in faith I understand that if they are to be completed today, they will be, in His time.

“The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17)

I cannot see today’s path clearly, I know only that the Lord has asked me to walk on it, to move forward on as much of it as I can see, and in faith to continue moving towards what awaits me, to trust Him in what I cannot see.

The roadmap, so to speak my friends, for you at times may only be visible on the path He has set you on as much as your next step today.

In faith take it.

You may not be able to see the Savior up ahead today.

In faith know that He is there.

The plans that you have made for today may be altered, and that dramatically.

In faith trust in Him who has done so.

Abraham walked to a land he did not know the way to, but he was shown each day the path to it. Heaven is our destination, we walk towards that strait gate, not in one day, but there is a day arriving that will alter all the rest of your future plans.

Continue to make those plans, but prepare your heart each morning to accept, in whatever way the Almighty decides, to have those plans altered. There will be a day, that last day of your life here, when you will see that strait gate.

Follow Him in faith towards it every day.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
