If you are going to work for God, you have to do what God says, the problem is for those that listen to many of those teachers, preachers and so-called evangelists today, when they are wrong, nothing seems to happen to them.
“And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.” (Numb. 26:10)
You haven’t seen that happen recently, have you?
“For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.” (Exo. 12:12) No big stories of the Almighty killing hundreds of thousands of people on the news yesterday.
We are in what is called the age of grace, and my friends not one of us completely understands what that word means today and has meant for almost two thousand years now. Prosperity preachers make millions telling lies, false prophets abound and are deceiving millions, televangelists and radio hosts speak falsehoods and live in mansions, and God remains quite and merciful.
Over the last few short years, the Lord has led me to write nearly two thousand of these short letters and produce hundreds of videos, and I tremble each time I sit down to do so. Not in the way that I fear that the Lord may strike me down or that some imminent calamity may come upon me if I am incorrect, but in the chance that I might be wrong, I might not speak truth.
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Heb. 10:31)
I cannot be wrong, that’s what comes into my mind, every word must be verifiable with the Scriptures, every image on the screen must somehow glorify God, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ must be lifted up, or I have failed Him. I am not worthy to do what I have been called to do, but I do as I am called, leaving not only the results in His hands, but the next letter or video before it even begins.
“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9a)
It is beyond me how so many who say they speak for the Lord God know full well that what they are saying is a lie, and it does not seem to bother them one bit. The attention, the money, pride, so many possible reasons, but not one thought to the eternal damnation that awaits them. One must also consider those on the receiving end of these deceivers, the weak-minded, those without hope grasping at any straw, looking for an emotional uplifting moment to bring them out of the pit of despair.
It is those that we try to reach with the truth, those that are leading them astray are the powers of spiritual darkness. “Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Cor. 11:15)
The man of God who seeks for the glory of God to those who will listen knows there are crowns and rewards waiting for him, and although we do not treat those things lightly, they hold little meaning to us, the work is being done through us, not by us when we submit to the Holy Spirit, the work of God is done. No matter how He has called you, you should be walking in fear and trembling, every thought, every word needs to be pondered and prayed about, we cannot be wrong, or we will have dishonored His Holy name, and my friends, on my day of accounting I have more than enough to explain without having to be fearful of that possible fault within myself.
If the Lord has called you to work for Him, then He has first called you to kneel before Him, in humility, in adoration, in thanksgiving and in much wisdom that can only come from Him. I am a hard man, and these things are not easy for me, but He is patient, as He will be with you, if His glory is all you seek.
Truth is difficult to find these days, be one who speaks nothing but the truth.
