“How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” (Psalm 13:1)
In that dry and thirsty land, we search for the living water because we have tasted of it and found there is no substitute for it.
“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” (Prov. 8:17)
One of the main problems with what I must loosely call Christianity today is the perception that when one has found the Lord Jesus Christ that the search is over, and while this is true in the way of salvation, it is far from the truth of knowing Christ and Him crucified, it is nowhere near the fulfillment of living for the Lord and realizing that death is gain.
Those who find themselves in that dry and thirsty land who have only professed Him with their lips will not continue to seek His face, they will not search diligently for that living water to refresh their soul.
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” (Prov. 24:10)
Here, when the Almighty hides His face from them, they will be shown whether their faith was small, or non-existent.
“He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.” (John 12:25)
Again, I must bring up the past, for in it and our actions during it, we come to the realization of who it is we serve and why.
Those who rule on this planet today are doing all they can in an attempt to divert people’s attention away from the lie of the supposed pandemic they initiated, and in many nations to even pen or speak those words can cause one to be punished in various ways. They locked the church doors, they hid from each other, and many, in that moment of the lack of trust in the Almighty, found themselves in that dry and thirsty land, and instead of seeking His face, they rolled up their sleeves.
Millions of people now suffering and dying because of their obedience to this purported fear, the known effects that even today if one speak of them can cause punishments to come upon them, now live in trepidation, for an adverse effect may come upon them if they received the supposed cure.
The day of adversity came, and one must question, was their faith small or non-existent, have they only been professing Him with their lips, or did they decide in that dry and thirsty land that to adhere to what the world said was the right thing to do, instead of seeking His face and waiting patiently?
I understand why the unrepentant ran to the rulers of this present darkness, for Job 2:4 is a truth. “And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.” But why did so many who profess to trust in Him whom they claim to serve fear, and that in great numbers?
Those who have now returned to the pews and the pulpits they themselves denied to themselves, who now sit and claim to praise His name, while the hint of the truth is in their minds, that they may suffer next because they rolled up their sleeve and trusted the words of this world.
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” (2nd Tim. 3:13)
I ask you my friends, did the Most High hide His face from them, did He put them in that dry and thirsty land, or did they go there of their own accord?
I have been led to put the following verse here for those of you that agreed to lock those doors, who not only wore a mask but had a supply of them on hand, who adhered to the social distancing, who observed the mandates, who rolled up your sleeve in fear.
“And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23)
Fear is sin.
