Fate

Is there anything outside of the will of God that can be ascribed to fate?

In the simplest terminology, fate is that which is in the future that cannot be hindered from approaching, an action that cannot be altered. Those who do not serve the Living God have attributed those actions to nearly everything under the sun but the Living God, astrology, luck, chance and coincidence, these words and others would not exist without fate.

“Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.” (Isaiah 46:11)

There will be a Rapture, there will be seven years of great tribulation.

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matt. 24:21)

Everything that the Almighty has said will occur will happen, what is approaching cannot be stopped. That is fate.

Only by faith can these truths be accepted, the question for you is not whether or not you honestly believe these truths, but can you accept the fate that He has in store for you? Or do you spend much of your time attempting to get the Most High to change His mind?

Professionals, those who apply themselves to whatever craft or trade they have decided for themselves, who excel at what they do, do not leave anything to luck, chance or coincidence, they diligently and with great personal effort press toward the mark that they have set for themselves. The world calls it initiative, drive, fortitude. Those who do not understand those truths, who will not do the same, call it being lucky, that chance smiled upon them, that it was only good fortune.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jer. 29:11)

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Heb. 11:3)

For those of us who are hid in Christ, all that happens to us in this life, the fate that awaits each of us as we walk the narrow path before we die, is it fate? Is it unchangeable? Is the acceptance of that fate the same as accepting His will in our lives and saying, “Thy will be done, no matter what?”

The world, and sadly many who profess to serve the Lord of Glory, would call that defeatism, taking all control away from us and placing in in the hands of the Living God.

Can you die to self if you do not accept your fate? And if you will accept your fate, if you will fully die to self and accept everything that comes into your life, withholding nothing from Him, where then is your free will?

There is the foundational problem the wicked have with that word Sovereign, and the only One that it can ever be applied to, it removes completely not only luck, chance and coincidence, but they believe their free will as well.

The days we are in, these beginnings of sorrows, are meant as a warning and a calling to those who do not yet serve the Almighty, even they know “something” is happening.

The fate of this world cannot and will not be altered, the fate of their lives, and the place of their eternal existence can be. Their fate in this regard can be altered, but it must be done by their own free will.

But know this truth, it is not your fate to speak to them, that is also a choice you must make.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

The path a man walks upon in this life is not fate, it can be altered.

Reveal that truth to them.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
