“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” (John 14:30)
“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” (Rev. 12:10)
All who have truly been saved have been saved from only one thing, the eternal wrath of God in the Lake of Fire, and we have been saved for only one purpose, to praise the Living God throughout all eternity.
The consequences of the unrepentant soul are eternal pain and suffering, for those who have trusted in His Holy name, pleasure forevermore.
The Lord Jesus Christ, fully man and fully God, was the only human being ever born that the Almighty was completely pleased with, there was no sin in Him, Satan had not one thing to accuse Him of before the Most High. I do not know how Satan and God converse, but I do know that if you have determined to fulfill Romans 12:1 in your life, your name has been mentioned to your Father in heaven by our adversary.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
And, if there is sin, unrepented of sin in your life that you are aware of and consider that sin a lite thing, not worthy of chastisement or punishment by the Almighty, then our adversary’s words will be heard, and acted upon by the Lord.
How these actions necessary will be performed to bring you into a right relationship with your Father in heaven is up to Him, gentle reminders, so to speak, if they are not acted on by you in this area of sin may require a more direct method.
“And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” (Job 1:8)
Job’s sin was in the belief that his actions caused him to be righteous, and it was necessary to teach him that only God is righteous.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2nd Cor. 5:21)
Perhaps that hedge around you will need to be lowered a little, and Satan allowed to be the messenger of the Almighty into your life, to explain to you that this sin is to stop, that the accusations of our enemy have been heard, and it is time to truly repent of this sin.
Perhaps he will do as He did Himself when Miriam sinned, and for a time send you outside the camp to contemplate your sinful actions.
It may be that as Uzzah did, when he reached his hand out to steady the ark, even with good intentions, that the Living God will decide it is time for your life here on this planet to come to an end, and He will kill you Himself.
“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1st Peter 1:16)
I fear in these days there are many who believe that the chastisement of their Father in heaven is no more than bad feelings, of emotions of regret, and have forgotten how He requires us to live our lives continually in the knowledge of His unquestionable and absolute righteousness and Holiness. Every sin, whether it be in action, word, deed or thought is to be despised by us, every doubt that comes into our mind of His promises is to be abhorred, all sin is against God, and even the semblance of it in our lives is to be cast aside.
We are never to say of our sins, “It’s not that bad, God understands I’m only human.”
Your Father in heaven is never going to say, “Oh, that’s alright, its only a little sin.”
No excuse offered will be accepted.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1st John 1:8-9)
Effort, and a great burning desire behind that effort to be pleasing in the eyes of your Father in heaven is the path we are to be on, and if you are on this path, you will be accused by our adversary. If those gentle reminders are not heard and acted upon by you, expect pain.
“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.” (Heb. 12:11)
