Borrowed Truths

Even More Subtle

“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” (Mark 13:22)

You have got to be aware, you must stay in prayer, you must ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in all truth, for our opening verse means just what it says, only the elect of God are going to be blessed with the ability to discern between good and evil, to be able to see the truth and not only avoid, but speak up against the subtle lies that our adversary is purporting.

I am not concerned with the “news of the day,” at this time it is countries shooting down unidentified flying objects, the Nord Stream pipeline, trains being derailed, on a worldwide basis it is the approaching centralized bank digital currency, the uniform basic income, the acceptance of the homosexual community and all their perversions. I do not concern myself with the supposed never-ending Covid and all its variants, nor with any other worldly diversion, they are expected. It is the Spiritual deceptions that have come into view, brought by the subtle lies of Satan that the elect must see and stand against.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Matt. 7:15) Two that are making great inroads in this area are the series “The Chosen” and an advertisement campaign called “He Gets Us.” I will not expound upon them here, but only to say this, they are not from God the Father, and my brothers and sisters in Christ, these are just the beginning.

I am becoming more convinced that our opening verse will not begin after the Rapture, but has indeed already begun, and may have long before I was blessed to see the truth of it. One could go as far back as the Charismatic movement, or even to the beginning of the Roman Catholic cult, but I believe in these days the subtlety of our adversary has become even more so because if only the elect can see these things, then sadly there are fewer of us than even I imagined. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” (John 16:13)

Evil being called good is not always easily perceived, and as the days grow darker, as Satan becomes more subtle, those who are weak in the faith will need to be shown by those who have been blessed to see the truth that what they are accepting as from God is not, but is from Satan himself.

These days, and taken in context, is not the time to adhere to 1st Corinthians 8:13, “Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.” If they are believing a lie, the truth must be shown to them, if they are being deceived and you have been blessed with eyes to see, it is not time to wonder if you have a beam in your eye but help that brother or sister in Christ with that speck in theirs. And I can almost guarantee you, for I know it well by experience, that Galatians 4:16 will be applied to you by them who do not want to listen. “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?”

Those who fall into these traps will not be hated by the world, but you will, and also by many of them who cannot yet see them. “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” (Psalm 94:16)

Your own brothers and sisters in the Lord may soon begin to rebuke you. Prepare yourself accordingly.
