Eternity Revealed

I would like to offer you a truth here today, one that has been mentioned in these short letters before, but it is worth repeating. It is the inverse of what you have possibly heard several times in your life before, and it is this. “Only those who are heavenly minded are of any earthly good.”

Of course, those of the world will disagree with this statement, as expected, for all they know is the world and their desire to remain in it as long as possible, to gain as much as they can, whether materialistically or in the accolades of others upon themselves.

“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Prov. 16:18)

We offer a message that goes far beyond this life, but they refuse to hear, we reveal truth to them, but they refuse to see. We are too heavenly minded to be of any earthly good, even when they begin to realize that the way of this world is pain, suffering, loss and finally the death of the flesh, they rebuke us for being unprofitable to its path.

They do not realize how much we care.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)

It is not as they believe, for we have not given up on this planet, we simply have been blessed with the truth, that life continues after the death of the flesh. That is really how simple it is my friends, every person is appointed a time to die, yet will continue to exist throughout all eternity. Does that mean we stop feeding the poor, assisting those in need, standing against wickedness and cruel men and just let the world fall into chaos?

Of course not.

“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.” (2nd Thess. 2:7)

This also is quite easily discerned by those who have been born-again, the Holy Spirit is the only One who can hinder evil, whether it be of our adversary or of man, and since all who have been crucified with Christ have the Holy Spirit residing within them, it is through us that He works.

If we are heavenly minded, serving for the glory of God, then there is still light in this world. If we seek the things of the world, if self becomes our objective, the continuation of life solely for that continuation, then we have become worldly minded, and the works will not be performed through us, but by us, becoming filthy rags.

“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Col. 3:2)

Heavenly minded people do not make a home here, but they do all they can to reach out to those who have. It is, in a sense, a conundrum, we must live in this world, but forsake it, we must do for those who cannot see the truth, that which many of them refuse to hear, tell them there is no death, there is a continuation, that they will be consciously aware forever. That a few decades of breathing the air of this planet, seeking its rewards, obtaining as much of what it offers as possible cannot be compared to eternity, to time without end.

They will regard you as having a defeatist mentality, as useless to their plan for a brave new world, of mankind choosing his own glorious destiny. Most of them my friends will not hear the hope you are offering, they will hear hopelessness.

As ambassadors of the Kingdom of the Living God we do not build houses on foreign soil, we rely on His provisions to accomplish the tasks set before us, caring nothing of what those in the world think of us, save for that which we reveal to them, the truth of eternity.

Where that will be for them is up to them.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
