“Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.” (Psalm 51:4)
Our dogs do not sin, orca’s when they kill a baby whale are not sinning, nor is a shark, lion, bear or any other animal when they kill a human being. Animals, four footed, flying, creeping things or those in the waters live by the instinct that the Lord God created them with, they possess no eternal soul, and every instance of the actions they perform that we would consider malicious and with evil or even good intent, is inferred to them only by our imaginations.
Save for once.
“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:” (Gen. 3:14)
This entire letter to you from this point on could be formulated with only conjecture, and I find no place for that in the Word of God or how we are to interpret it, truth is always the path we are to tread upon. As far as we are told, unless I am forgetting something here, only one animal since the Almighty created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them has willfully and intentionally, with malice of forethought sinned against the Living God and been punished for it.
Billions of people are in hell because they have.
Sin only matters when it is against the Lord, and good works are only counted as good when they are done by those who have been born-again and are done only for His glory.
“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.” (Prov. 15:8)
It makes no difference in the eyes of the Almighty, if you are a hired assassin who kills people for money, an abortion doctor who takes the life of the unborn, a person who has devoted their life to saving children taken in bondage or a kind hearted woman who has devoted her entire life to feeding the poor, if you have not called on the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of your soul, if you have not died to self for the glory of God, not one good deed will be counted in your favor, and all the evil you have committed will pale in comparison to that one great evil, counting the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ as nothing of value.
These truths go against the very fabric of nearly all who breathe the air of this planet, only mankind can sin, and those sins can only be committed against The Almighty.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
Here is where many become trapped by the Law, the Law that Jesus Christ fulfilled, the Law that no one saved by grace through faith is under. “On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Matt. 22:40) And that love, if it is not done solely out of a love for the One who first loved us will avail you nothing in the sight of the Living God.
We love them for His sake, we deny ourselves for His glory, we die to self so that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is lifted up. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1st John 5:13)
Most people will experience eternal death in the Lake of Fire, not because they committed atrocities against their fellow man, but because they believed their good works were good enough to be accepted as righteous in the sight of the Lord.
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Isaiah 64:6)
This deception has gone on for thousands of years, not only in the minds of men who have no knowledge of grace, but in those who believe the Law can save them, or is required to be followed, even after they believe themselves to be saved.
All sin was paid for on the cross, only those who understand that are truly saved.
