“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matt. 24:14)
You would be very hard pressed to find a nation on this planet where the name of Jesus Christ is not known, that is not to say that every single person on the planet has heard His name, but in every one of them at least some have. It also does not mean that each of those who have heard the name of our Savior understand fully who He is, most would at best have only a rudimentary knowledge of Him, and that only in the construct of their imagination, but far too many misinterpret this verse to say that every single person on the planet will hear the full gospel message, and that is not going to happen.
Two verses come to mind as what I will call the “caveat” for those who do not hear the precious name we adore. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (Romans 1:20) And “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” (Prov. 8:17)
It is important that you realize another truth here, that all of the lost will be found.
Think back to before the invention of the printing press, over a thousand years of the Word of God being handwritten, of men of God blessed with acute memories traveling the world to spread the good news of salvation through Christ, of battling the lie of Romanism and others who would alter the truth of grace through faith. Those men were sent to those who were seeking the face of the Living God, much as we are today.
Those so-called “chance encounters,” when we are speaking to a stranger about the Lord and they respond with a desire to know more about Him are not chance my friends, the Holy Spirit knows exactly what He is doing and exactly where to send you even when you do not expect it.
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1st Peter 3:15)
If you are actively seeking for the lost, the Almighty will send you to them or them to you while preparing their heart to hear and accept the message of truth. That is how it has always been.
Moses turned aside to see the bush that burned but was not consumed, Rehab was shown the truth of the Living God, Cornelius sent for Peter, God called you and then sent one of His servants to you. All the lost will be found, of this there is no doubt, not one of the wicked on their day of accounting will have an excuse.
Your responsibility as an ambassador of the Kingdom of God is to continuously study to show yourself approved, to keep yourself holy and unspotted from the world so that when the one who is seeking the Lord is sent to you, you will be proficient enough, even if it is only in the most basic oracles of the truths of the Word of God, to lead them to the cross. Then, as it always has been, it will be up to them to accept or deny the truth.
The one that praises the Most high is the one used by Him for His glory, the one who studies and contemplates His Word is the one who is profitable to the Kingdom only and when they apply the word in action and faith. “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)
Is He sending you?
Do you want to be sent?
