I do not think that any of us truly realize just how many people are alive today on this earth, the number “billion” is difficult enough to comprehend, but when we add a seven or eight in front of it, it is unfathomable.
I will not say all, but most of us ate today, had something to drink, and those that did not will either tomorrow or the next day, the Lord has made plenty and enough for all, yet we do not share. I have seen grains destroyed by the metric ton, with the excuse of keeping prices at an inflationary rate, I have heard that if we sent it “over there” that it would only be confiscated by warlords and evil men. I hear of places that have no clean running water, but desalinization plants cost a lot of money. For every instance of the possibility of assistance, I hear an excuse, and my heart hears, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Gen. 6:5)
“I got mine, you get yours,” that is the manta, even in plenty, even when there is enough. I relate these issues to what I will loosely call the church, we have all that anyone could ever need, but to share it would cost us more than we are willing to give, even when it is no more than our reputation. The story does not seem to change, what many are given freely, they refuse to offer freely to others, they know the way to salvation, they know the way to the cross, but the cost of sharing it with others is more than some want to pay, they might be laughed at, they may be mocked, their feelings might get hurt. “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” (Prov. 24:10)
All those people, billions of them, and we act sometimes as if the one standing in front of us represents them all, that if we ask them who they say Jesus is, that everyone on the planet will mock us. One of the greatest gifts of being crucified with Christ is that we get to die, any problems, any rebukes, any mocking all goes onto the Lord Jesus, we do not receive any of it if your life and words reflect Him. This is what so many who profess Christ as Lord just do not seem to understand, when they stand against you for professing His truth, they are not rebuking you, but Him. “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” (John 15:18)
If you are a messenger that is afraid to give the message that you have been sent to give, and if indeed the Lord God is aware of that, which He is, do you think that He will trust you with the message? He will not. “He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.” (Prov. 26:6)
Now is when you need to stop and think, if you have not been witnessing to the lost, if you have not been rebuking false prophets, religious organizations, if you have not been used by the Lord to defend and stand for the truths of the Scriptures, why not? Here is where you get to begin in this letter to you to run the excuses through your mind, “I do not feel like,” is usually the first place to start. “I haven’t felt led to, I do not feel called, I don’t know enough Scripture.” Take your pick, make up your own, and then envision that Jesus Christ is standing right there in front of you, and tell them to His face.
Almost eight billion people, and “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matt. 7:14) Start anonymously if that is what it takes, get some Bible tracts, start replying to comments on social media with a pseudonym, leave pamphlets and tracts in stores and markets when no one is looking. Do something, because if you do not, there are only two verses in the Scriptures that I can find that will apply to you, “And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.” (1 John 2:28) Or “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 10:33)

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
And,
Revelation 2:17 ….and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt;
Fightings within, and fears without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Many believe, and I tend to agree, that the new name on the white stone is not a name for us, but a name, a specific attribute of Christ, if you will, that is beyond special to us. A name of His that is given to us to call Him by, similar to the title one might have for his wife, or a wife for her husband, that is a term of endearment between just those two. “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Eph. 5: 25-27
Absolutely, and you are correct!
We sometimes miss to understand the correct interpretation while reading scriptures and skip something of importance very easily as a casual reader…
I went through this article, and thought, how did i missed that….

1 Corinthians 13:9-10
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
