There are many born-again believers today, and many who think they are, that are professing that we are in the last days. Circumstances across the globe have led the majority of them to this conclusion, the largest fires ever recorded, the most rain, the most prolific this or that. On top of that, or at least in conjunction with it is the ever-increasing amount of purported evil in many governmental systems, the rise, at least we are told, of those who would prefer to remain in Sodom and Gomorrah, an ever-widening wealth gap, and a plethora of other worldly events that continue to bombard us.
All of these events may indeed cause us to stop and contemplate this notion of the soon return of the Lord for His bride, (1 Thess. 4:17) but I do not believe they are to set the standard for our thoughts in this area. “The just shall live by faith,” (Romans 1:17) carries over into these events we are speaking of, but goes much further, and I do not know how to express it any other way but the word “feeling,” but in the context of an emotional state mind you, that would come from our heart, and I do not trust my heart, and neither should you for
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9)
You may call it a sixth sense if you like, but that also would be incorrect, it is more than a notion, it is more than a déjà vu moment. I believe that those who understand these days will understand these words as well, for none of us wanted to admit what we were and are feeling, there is great fear among men when these inner events, as we could also call them, occur, for no man wants the moniker of “false prophet” whose desire it is to see the Lord glorified. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)
This verse comes to mind here along with Proverbs 3:5, our own understanding, no matter how much wisdom and knowledge we have been blessed with will lead us astray every time. If there is one thing of the world in relation to what we are speaking of here that I could point out it is the attempts at distractions and the continuous diversions that are set in front of us on a daily basis. Someone is trying to hide something, I know who and I know why, and so do you.
Great caution must be used here. There are many traps laid by our adversary I believe than ever before, and they are not placed there to catch the wicked, but those that have been justified by faith in Christ. The tin foil conspiracy hat has been laid upon the head of all those who have been crucified with Christ for several decades now, and it will only get worse.
The words of God are nothing more than a fable to the wicked, and soon, as it already is in some nations, persecutions will begin to be accepted upon those who will not relinquish those outdated stories. It must be if the One World Religion is to be set in place, it must come to pass if Satan is to be worshipped.
Pay attention to the visible signs, mark those that the Holy Spirit leads you to toss to the side, those that are not profitable, those that do not show the path that this world is heading to. That feeling by the way, that sixth sense we spoke of earlier, that is the Holy Spirit, those who cannot discern the skies of our day (Matt. 16:3) do not realize this. You must.
