Dates

Passover, Feast of Trumpets, Feast of Tabernacles, New Moon Festival, the Sabbath day. The Lord likes to have observances for His people, how many the born-again believers are to adhere to is always a debate, sometimes quite contentious. But never fear, almost every church, religious organization, and house of worship has got something for almost everyone, they don’t call them feasts and observances, but traditions, some have even made laws, both respectively and morally, if you will.

Christmas and Easter are of course the two-best known, and it doesn’t even matter if they are historically correct in the date observed, as long as they fall on the proper Sunday most times, that way those who make the calendars don’t have to modify anything.

Even the lost have their days, some are still relevant to them, others pass into history and are forgotten, but they can always be replaced with something more in tune to the day. My answer for all of them? “One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.” (Romans 14:5)

Let them have their “high holy days,” their traditions, if it makes them happy, or helps them to feel closer to the Lord, all the better, I do all within my meager power to celebrate Him every day. But to the point, one perhaps you are becoming acquainted with by now, to know the totality of a thing, one must know the inverse of that thing, and in this case it is no different.

Our Lord died on the cross, the antichrist will “die;” Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, antichrist, beast, false prophet; truth, lies; Father of lights, prince of darkness. Nothing new here, what the Lord does, Satan does the opposite of, but I have been contemplating something of late, and can seem to find nothing but unreliable sources, if you will, on the subject. For some reason, Christians have no problem whatsoever with the set aside dates of the Lord, but seem to scoff at the notion that our adversary would do the same, except of course in the inverse.

What got me thinking about this was how much the date June 21 is being tossed about lately, now, before you even take that next thought, no, I am not suggesting anything that can remotely be considered prophetic, those of you who have read enough of these letters to you will realize this. I state the date for only two reasons, the amount that I have heard it lately, and the fact that it is the summer solstice, one of the special days for those who profess allegiance to the adversary. It is this that started my thoughts to go upon the path of the items I mentioned earlier, how Satan must indeed have his “special, unholy,” if you like days.

There is only one way to defeat the enemy, with the Word of God, and simply repeating certain verses will not do it. “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?” (Acts 19:15) No one can stand against the enemy but the Lord Jesus, and for us to think that we can rebuke him, resist him, bind him, or do anything at all to him in our own power is beyond ridiculous, it is stupid and may get you killed.

Nearly every single thing that you see on whatever device you look at today is a lie, a lie, or a diversion, all of it is meant to keep us from seeing the truth of what is happening in the world today. The brute beast are following along willingly, the individuals who are professing Him only with their lips are no more than false prophets, the chaff is being blown everywhere and it is becoming difficult for some to see through it. There are days that are special to Satan, I do not claim to know what they are, or what relevance they hold for him, but that does not matter, they are important to him, and on those days he will attempt to do his will.

This letter is for informational purposes only, do not make it your life’s work to find what these dates are, your life is hid in Christ, concentrate on Him, but do not just dismiss your enemy, the lion is roaring, and only those who have been crucified with Christ stand in his path, those who live in the light of the truth of the Lord.

  1. Year after year after the passion week meetings are over me and my friend after looking at the crowds and hearing all their worldly gossips, we get reminded of this verse on the eve of Resurrection Sunday meeting….
    Jeremiah 8:20
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

    We don’t know……why?

  2. I posted a comment, an hour ago…but now is not.
It said your comment is under moderation.

  3. Pay attention to the topics of conversation around the church before and after the Sunday morning service. Do they relate to the Lord and His work in peoples lives, or are they completely separate from not only what the sermon was about, but hold no reference whatsoever to what the congregation is to be there for, to worship the Most High. What makes Sunday morning any different for some than Tuesday afternoon or Friday night is the question.

  4. This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. Matt. 15:8

Really hope that i get notified when a response is posted!!

  5. I will have Ray look at it again. I have noticed that it is becoming more difficult for those who desire to post items related to the Lord, not only here but in other media outlets, to not have their posts either deleted, or simply lost. It is to be expected in these days. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Prov. 29:2)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
