Ceaser, Pharoh, King, these titles do not invoke the same emotions as President, Chancelor, Prime Minister or any other title given to heads of nations today, they more closely resemble the word Dictator, and had the connotation of supreme ruler, unquestionable in their governance.
When any of them passed by, you offered some form of respect, or there would be personal retributions.
“Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” (Psalm 2:12)
The population of man has two types of people within it, followers and leaders, some do so either out of respect, some have it forced upon them, in either case, all have one thing in common, they get something out of it.
In all essence, even in nations today, the ruler of the land, what we call the government today, owns all within the boundaries of it, you will receive protection, food, your daily needs, and even a modicum of personal freedom, as long as you obey the rules set by them.
We who are born again serve The King, and one of the most difficult decisions we have to make is when we have to decide just how much of the rules, regulations and laws set upon us by the current ruler of the nation we live in should be disobeyed.
So, I take you back to the days they want us to forget.
Put the mask on or face punishment, roll up your sleeve or face possible jail time, loss of everything. Do what you are told or face the consequences of your actions.
I just offered you the answer to all of Romans chapter thirteen, did you see it?
Many read that portion of the Scriptures and hear, “Do everything that the ruler of your nation commands you to do.” They were not, by law, commanded to lock the church doors, they did so out of fear. There was no law passed that stated all must wear the mask, all must receive the injection, they did so out of fear. They obeyed not because they feared the King, not even so much that they might lose their own lives or cause the death of another, and I speak here of those who profess to serve the Living God, but they did so because they believe that chapter in the Word of God tells them to obey everything their rulers tell them to do.
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” (2nd Tim. 3:13)
I stand by what I have said in these letters before when I have been led to write upon this subject, no man who stands behind the pulpit who agreed to lock the doors of the church, those who wore the mask so as not to seem uncaring, who would no longer offer the hand of fellowship, who highly suggested that the assembly of believers run and hide should never, unless they first repent in tears, preach on the truth of Philippians 1:21.
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
But we are supposed to forget those days, are we not?
We are told to do all that we are commanded to do by those in authority over us, right?
Have you seen the answer I offered earlier in this letter to you yet, the subject matter all that has been written here is about?
Obey, or face the consequences of your actions.
Having to make the decision of who we serve in times of persecution, sufferings and trials my friends is what sets us apart from this world.
It would be wise of you to prepare for the next time you might have to make that decision.
