If you want to succeed in this world, you must fill yourself with ambition, with self-motivation, initiative and perseverance. You must believe in yourself; in that you can achieve the goals you have set before you.
You must be filled with pride.
“Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” (Eze. 28:15) This world is Satan’s, given, ceded if you like, to him when Adam transgressed the one commandment placed upon him. “And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.” (Luke 4:6)
If you want to succeed in this world, if you want to be at the top of whatever ladder you have determined to climb, it can only be done by adhering to the rules that the god of this world has set. “But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” (Matt. 16:23)
And those things that our adversary savors belong to him.
Rule number one that he has set is, you cannot serve Christ, you must in no way be associated with any of the precepts or ordinances that the Almighty has ordained. You do not have to disdain Him, though that helps, you do not even need to believe that He does not exist, but that also will add to your favor, you do not need to believe that Satan is real, you must though never give any serious consideration to the Living God and His Sovereignty over all creation.
You must believe in yourself and nothing else.
Satan will take it from there.
It does not matter if you desire to be the head of a large corporation or the strongest man on the block, if you want to be the most attractive woman on the planet or rule an entire nation, you must believe in yourself and nothing else.
And there is another, amongst many separate minor items that you must adhere to, you must not love anyone more than yourself. Everyone you meet on the way to the top must either be drawn to your side for your benefit, disposed of or destroyed if necessary, nothing or no one must be allowed to stand in your way to your desired goal. If the people that say they love you need to be cast off, so be it, if lives need to be destroyed, people’s lives ended, reputations ruined, no matter what it takes, you must place yourself above all others.
And then as you grow old and your usefulness to the god of this world has come to an end, you will be disposed of and replaced with the next fool.
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)
“And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,” (Rev. 20:2) Even Satan knows his end, it is sad that those we speak about here today do not. They have stored up their treasures here, they have gained all they could ever want, and then lost everything, and I will presume that none of them understood this truth until they opened their eyes in hell a few moments after they left this life, and then, when the realization of the truth is comprehended by them, they will wail and gnash their teeth for all eternity.
Pride will destroy you, pride says “I do not need God,” it proclaims self as master and ruler.
No one who aspires to be anyone in this world will achieve anything they desire unless our adversary gives it to him, this world at the present time belongs to him. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:12)
Remember that when you are speaking to those who are on the way up that ladder.
