By Faith

“And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” (Luke 16:31)

If you are living a life of a thief, as a homosexual, as one who defiantly opposes the truth that there are only two genders, if you are a drunk, even if you are a nice person to everyone you meet but do not repent and call upon the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of your soul, when you die you will go directly to hell, you will remain there for a little more than a thousand years when you will then be removed, stand before the Great White Throne of Judgment, where the Righteous Lord will hear your excuses, and then cast you into the Lake of Fire where you will remain for all eternity, never to be released.

Now, ask me to prove these words to you and this is the answer I will give you, “I can’t.”

I can offer you verses from the Word of God. “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Matt. 25:41)

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Heb. 9:27)

“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” (Luke 16:23) And many more, but I have no proof and neither has anyone else throughout all of history.

How do I know what I have offered you is truth then? Because the Word of God, what is commonly known as the Holy Bible says so, and this verse stands as a truth to all who have been born-again, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

By faith I know without a doubt that there is an Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth, by faith I know that He sent His Son the Lord Jesus Christ to this planet to die for my sins, by faith I know without one single doubt that when I accepted these truths that He chose me as one of His own, sent the Holy Spirit to live inside of me and it is He that now shows me truth.

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” (John 16:13)

And all those who have been crucified with Christ can give you what is called a testimony that will leave little doubt to the validity of these words I have offered, but I cannot take you to the gates of hell and let you look there. No one can.

If I could, I would for I will guarantee you this for a fact, once you saw the suffering, the eternal gloom, heard the screams and cries of those there you would immediately believe, fall on your face to beg the Lord Jesus Christ with your entire being to forgive you, and He would.

But this verse must be shown to you now “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17) Not by emotions, not by logical deductive reasoning skills, not by life experiences or even in the way that the Living God has decided to answer our prayers, but by faith and faith alone.

Faith in the truth of John 10:28, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

Faith in “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jer. 29:11) Of Deuteronomy 31:8, “And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

I can tell you about hell in great detail and the Lake of Fire, there was a time in my life I could have taken out my hundreds of pastels and painted a picture of it for you, I could even make a convincing video today about it, screams, pain, suffering and all, but that still would not convict you, would it?

The last verse in the Book of Isaiah says this about that place, “And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.” (Isaiah 66:24)

The question is, will it be your final resting place?
