Both Sides

Power and fury, wrath and vengeance, meet Jesus Christ.

In love this is what we are to proclaim to a lost world, that sin will indeed be punished, that those who will not in humble servitude accept the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, (Rev. 19:16) will be cast forever into outer darkness, for all eternity, with no hope of reprieve, “And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matt. 13:50) That is what we are to do for those who do not know Christ as Savior yet.

Love without the knowledge of what will happen if that love is not accepted, if it is cast aside as useless and abhorrent, will be dealt with in the severest measures possible. This is what the church of the world, the places where so many congregate each Sunday morning, have failed to mention the last few decades, that there is a price to be paid if the love offered is rejected. From it has come the “never offend, never judge, try to be their friend first” mentality, and it has ruined the ministry of everyone that has fallen into it, it is indeed the path of the great falling away.

It is what people want to believe, that love without sacrifice is what Jesus taught, that loving your neighbor (Mark 12:31) means never telling them the “bad” side of the story, that a half truth is close enough.

Love paid a terrible price on that cross for all of mankind, asking for nothing in return, and that is the message that is paid little attention to today, it is treated as if it was just a motion that Christ went through, not a sacrifice of incomprehensible suffering, and so, when we do not warn the lost of their rejection of the love offered, we are not partakers of that suffering, but simply bystanders waiting to reap the rewards. “For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” (1 Cor. 2:2)

The people I have mentioned here are the majority of those who call themselves Christians today, and they have brought shame to that moment, they are as Eve was, easily deceived by mere emotions, decrying all that our Lord did for us by negating all that it meant, the ability to stand before God Almighty as one of His own. No more veil in the temple, not one person on the planet only once a year, (Lev. 16) but all men who will call on Christ at all times, anytime. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim. 2:5)

To reject Jesus Christ is to make oneself the god of their life, it is to proclaim that He is not necessary, and it brings that suffering to an open shame. Nearly all will realize this a few moments after they take their final breath here, after they have closed their eyes for the last time here and opened them forever in hell. Then they will repent, then they will cry out for mercy, then they will pray, and they will never be heard.

If you are not warning the lost about the judgment and wrath that will rest upon them for all eternity if they reject the Lord Jesus, then you are not witnessing for Christ, you are only attempting to expound upon a false love, one that covers all transgressions without humility, reverence, the fear of the Lord and the wrath of God upon the wicked. (John 3:36) You have only told half of the story. If you will not do this for them, you cannot say you love them, they are like children out playing in heavy traffic in the street, and all you do is keep yelling at them, “I love you!” They will be held accountable for their unbelief, their inactions, just as you will.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
