The God we will all serve, I have said that in one form or another to a lot of people, and most of them, in their own way, have informed me that they have no intention of ever serving the Lord.
It makes absolutely no difference what anyone thinks, Buddhist, Mormon, Roman Catholic, Eckankar, Hindu, all will serve the Lord God. “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” (Romans 14:11) And it makes me both sad and furious that most of those knees will be forced into that position.
Matthew 7:14 is a very sobering verse, few, my friends, few will find it, most every soul ever born will be in hell, because of one simple fact, they would not believe on the Son of God. “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18) This is not a happy thought, and I think on it on a regular basis anymore, I try to reach them, my lovely wife tries to reach them, but they will not believe, and how far are they willing to go? “And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.” (Rev. 6:16) All the way to the grave, they think and have been taught to believe that being good is how one enters into the kingdom of the Most High, and they base that goodness upon the standards of morality that they birth within themselves and what the civilization that they live in tells them is good.
To some in certain faiths, killing a Christian means you are good, to others helping old ladies across the street or rescuing puppies from a puppy mill means you are good, it is ingrained into us, good works are done by good people who will, when they die, go to a good place. What else did you expect from Satan, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one,” (Romans 3:10) unless you do some good deed, the priest can absolve all your sins, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim. 2:5)
Superstition, every word of our adversary is a lie, and every word is exactly the opposite of what the Word of God says, that should be pretty easy for us to see, and yet here stand all these buildings with crosses on them telling us that God just wants us all to be happy, that if trouble arrives, you must have sinned, that if you are poor and destitute that God does not love you, that unless you pay some form of penance for your sins, you will never get out of purgatory. The longer He calls me, the longer I submit to His will, the stupider these things are to me, and the more foolish I see the lost every day.
I mentioned this to my adorable wife earlier, that it would have been nice if the Lord would have put a caveat with some of the verses in the Scriptures, or at least categorized them in order. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” (John 8:32) but it will also bring great frustration, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him,” (James 1:5) but then a few hundred pages back I find, “For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.” (Eccl. 1:18)
I am not complaining, I am even grateful, ever thankful, but I think our heavenly Father has quite the sense of humor, He had to have right from the beginning, “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” (Gen. 2:18) So, here you go Adam, a help meet that is exactly the opposite of you, now live together and have a good life.
Did you know that the Lord is going to laugh at people when their time of trouble comes, that He is going to make fun of them when the tribulations assail them, because they had every opportunity and would not listen. (Prov. 1:26) Every single soul is going to serve God throughout all eternity, “All souls are mine,” (Eze. 18:4) whether they believe it or not. I know what happened to me, I followed Him when He said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Matt. 5:6) Only thing is, He didn’t say, oh, by the way, that thirst and hunger will continue until you arrive home. You have to admit, He does have a sense of humor.
You will serve, everyone will serve, the only difference is we already are, and we do so willingly, and will continue to do so no matter the circumstances, no matter the consequences to ourselves, for His eternal love for us is unmatched, and He is our Father, and we love Him. We my friends already joyfully bend our knee to Him.
