Jeremiah watched as his people starved, were slain by the sword, were taken captive. David saw nearly one hundred thousand of his people die because of his sin, tens of thousands were killed because they looked in the ark. Noah heard the screams outside of the ark.
“For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” (Malachi 3:6)
The Gentiles are not a people as the children of Israel are, we are the children of Abraham by faith, but not birth, we are not treated as they were and are.
“Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.” (Romans 3:2)
The Living God does not change, but for two thousand years now He has dealt differently with mankind, Israel has been taken temporarily out of the vine, their house has been left desolate to them, the majority have in all these years believed a lie, that the Lord Jesus Christ was nothing less than a usurper who caused their entire nation to be destroyed and their people dispersed into all the earth. Even when they returned to their land in 1947, even as they have once again become prosperous and strong, they refuse to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as who He is, the Messiah of God.
But they will believe the antichrist to be Him.
Those Gentiles who have been saved by grave through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are not part of Israel, we are not part of that nation, we are grafted into the vine, we are of the family of the Most High, but we are separate from them. We are individualized in the respect that we are hid in Christ.
Everyone who has been saved has been saved by grace through faith, everyone who has been chosen by the Almighty will live forever in His Kingdom, we all will be and are of the family of God, but no Gentile will ever be of the lineage by birth from Abraham. We do not look forward to the Temple being rebuilt, we are not hoping for all Israel to return to the land, for the Messiah to come. He has already arrived and left, He sits on the right hand of the Father today, interceding for those who have trusted in His name alone for their salvation.
“According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; unto this day.” (Romans 11:8)
The mystery has been revealed, but not yet to them.
The Lord is not killing thousands of born-again believers at one time because of their impertinence, because of their sins against Him, we are not a people in that respect. His grace and mercy have not changed, and they never will, His judgments against those who sin have remained the same, God does not change, but the sin of a single individual, no matter how great, no longer causes the death of tens of thousands.
But it will affect you personally.
“But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.” (Numb. 32:23)
Not just in the form of a minor inconvenience, not just in the feeling of the loss of fellowship with the Lord, in that respect the Almighty has not changed. Your sin may cause great pain and personal suffering on those you love, He may send trials and tribulations upon you that will be almost unbearable, He may even kill you, but He will not remove His gift of salvation from you.
Thousands will probably not die because of you, but you will be held accountable for your actions or inactions, in this the Almighty has not changed.
