Be That Leader

“For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” (Matt. 7:29)

Can you do this? Not to the extent of course of the One who wrote the Book, but in a way that when the truth of the Scriptures are revealed by you to others, that those truths cannot be denied, save for those who would either challenge them with lies or are unable to Spiritually discern them?

I have mentioned this before, but it bears repeating again, I never agree to disagree when it comes to the Scriptures. I am willing to be corrected, reproved and rebuked when I am in the wrong, no less than Peter was by Paul. “But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.” (Gal. 2:11)

But if I know without a doubt that the Holy Spirit has revealed truths to me from the Word of God, I do not back down.

And neither should you.

Not all are called to be masters, but every person who has been born-again is to be in some form a leader, and my friends, that should be quite easy for you seeing how you are attempting to lead the brute beasts to living water, whether or not they follow you is their choice, but if you are going to plant a seed, then by default you are attempting to lead these people.

They are on the wide path to hell, and lately I have envisioned that narrow path that we are on to be right in the middle of that wide path to destruction, and with the wicked and the lost on either side of us it is impossible to not be noticed, and when you are, you are to lead them away from there and to where you are.

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” (2nd Tim. 1:12)

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16:11)

To lead in this regard means that two things must happen, you have full assurance of what you are talking about, and complete faith in the Holy Spirit to guide you when you do not.

There will come times that you will need to tell that person, “I don’t know, but I will find out.” In this you are leading them.

“The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.” (Matt. 10:24)

Much prayer and supplication is required then, for once again you must study to show yourself approved, but you are also by doing this fulfilling Mattew 20:27, “And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:”

You see, we are both followers and leaders, it is the responsibility of an ambassador of the Kingdom of the Most High to point to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to do that you must be a leader to those who do not yet know Him as Lord. They must follow you, at least in that distance until they reach the foot of the cross, from there, so to speak, they are on their own.

When those in Jerry McAuley’s church felt the Holy Spirit tugging at their stoney hearts and would come up to the prayer bench to kneel and beg for forgiveness, many of them would ask him, “What should I pray, what words should I say?” He would always answer them the same words, “The words that are in your heart.”

The Holy Spirit uses the servants of the Most High God to lead people to the salvation that is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ. All He asks is that you are willing to do so.

The first day someone is saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that person can lead someone else to Him as well.

We are empty vessels waiting to be filled, we are bearers of the light of the world, those in the darkness are looking for a light, for one to lead them onto that narrow path. We who have been crucified with Him are to lead others to Him, that is what we have been called to do.

Be that leader.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
