It is your inability to act, and you have no one to blame but yourself.
You cannot use the excuse that no one told you what to do, for my friends, that is only applicable to small children.
“I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.” (1st Cor. 3:2)
You cannot reason your way out of it by stating the information was not available to you, you have the entire Word of God in your possession, you more than likely have access to all the information in the world through the internet, nearly ever book ever written, both of the wisdom of the world and the wisdom given to men of God by the Holy Spirit.
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Heb. 5:14)
The Almighty has placed you in positions where decisions of faith and following Him were required, and in instance after instance you have failed to act, and you have no one to blame but yourself.
We are to study to show ourselves approved, we are to study the house of our enemy, we are to search diligently within ourselves and remove the sinful ways that attempt to draw us off the path. We are to have no relationships with darkness, to keep ourselves unspotted from this world. We are not to ponder continuously; we are to act.
We are to do all these things continuously, because the Holy Spirit many times, if not most of the time, acts without warning, in a spontaneous way, and if you have not prepared yourself to act, you will fail at these tests of faith.
“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matt. 24:5)
These false prophets abound on YouTube, and they have tens of thousands of followers. How are you acting on, no matter what social media sites or websites you visit, in just this one regard against these charlatans, how are you reaching out to those in the comment sections, to those who are being deceived by them?
Your neighbors down the street, the people you work with or meet on a regular basis, the strangers that cross your path, how are you acting upon those truths of the Word of God that you profess to believe and love?
Or do you run through your excuses each night why you did not do so?
“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Prov. 16:25)
Many who profess to serve the Lord believe they are on the right path, but their lives reveal a different account. They do not speak of Him in public, they do not intentionally seek for the lost, they need to wipe the dust off their Bible before they pick it up.
My friends, if you are not acting or behaving like one who has been born-again in public, then just what proof do you have of your salvation? Those excuses that make you feel better?
If this is you that this short letter is meant to reach, then it would be wise of you to memorize this verse.
“For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.” (Luke 9:26)
All your excuses will be given at the Great White Throne of Judgment, and you will have at least one thousand years in hell to think up more. And every one of them will rest on one singular foundation, you did not act because you were embarrassed, and if you do not begin to act, and that after true repentance with a contrite and broken heart, you will die in your sins in that rut.
“For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2nd Cor. 6:2)
Only you know yourself, only you know if you have been lying to yourself all this time.
“For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” (1st Cor. 11:31)
I am nothing more than a messenger, and the message has been given.
