Answers Or Excuses?

If Adam, the first living soul created by the Almighty, could fall to the lust of the eyes, if David, a man after God’s own heart, could fall prey to the lust of the flesh, and if the covering cherubim, Lucifer in all his created beauty succumbed by his own design to the pride of life, do not think that you will escape any of these things that your Father in heaven hates.

Men and angels alike are not just susceptible to sin, we sin.

I do not know how the angels who did not rebel with their brothers did not fall, if they still have what we call “free will,” or if in some fashion they are bound by the power of the Most High since then, unable to sin, but I do know this, you and I, all those who are hid in Christ sin against the Living God.

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1st John 1:8)

The truth is in us, it has set us free, but we strain at that lite yoke, the pleasures of the seasons of sin are not forgotten by us, nor do we always attempt to divert ourselves from those sinful pleasures at times. I also know this to be a truth.

“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)

No matter who it is, no matter how high on a pedestal that you have set anyone, including the mighty men of faith mentioned in the Scriptures, all have sinned, except for one, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Before you are glorified you will give your account, before the wicked are cast into the lake of Fire, they will give an account, everyone ever born will give an account, the reasons for why we did what we did and why we did not do in this life. The difference between the wicked who will die in their sins, and those who will spend eternity in the presence of joy is this, they will have a minimum of a thousand years to contemplate their words, we have only this life, a very short time indeed.

“And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.” (Gen. 3:12)

“And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man.” (2nd Sam. 12:7a)

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44)

Are you prepared to speak truth on that day, or are you preparing excuses?

No one who has been born-again should ever contemplate throwing themselves on the mercy of the court, so to speak, on that day, it is not a question of whether or not you will enter into His Kingdom, you would not be there if you were not going to live in His presence forever. But it is a question of this, if you are walking boldly into His throne of grace today, why would you fear to do so at that moment?

“Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.” (Psalm 19:12)

Prepared to give that account, or preparing excuses?

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1st John 1:9)

The lust of the eyes that draws our attention away from the path to that strait gate, the lust of the flesh that assails us at nearly every turn, and the pride of life that is like a beast seeking its prey will die, will never be known to us ever again, right after we give our account.

Would you not run towards your Savior when you first lay eyes upon Him knowing the truth of these words?

Do you not live in great anticipation of that moment when every burden is finally removed, when the entire weight of this life is finally gone?

If any excuses are still running through your mind, ask the Almighty to reveal the answer to them today, ask Him to remove whatever vestige of fear remains within you when you contemplate that day you will stand before Him.

Ask Him to help you realize just how much He truly loves you.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” (1st John 4:18)

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
