Always Personal

“I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.” (Amos 4:9)

The louder the noise, the more people will listen.

Without information from outside sources, the internet, television, newspapers and radio, that noise would need to be very loud for all to hear it, without those sources, news travels slowly. For over two thousand years now those that serve the Lord Jesus Christ have been fulfilling Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” and up until just a few short decades ago this was done as it always had been done, by word of mouth, usually one person at a time, this act of love and obedience was done on a personal level.

No one not being called by the Lord seeks for Him. “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:44)

No one not concerned with the things of God seeks God. We go to them.

Starting in Jerusalem and spreading throughout the entire world, slowly, with intent, those that love Him seek the lost amongst the wicked.

The internet offers access to nearly everything, and in that sea of sin, of worldly delights, entertainment and deceit we search, we go to where they are, but nothing has changed over the centuries, when we find one who is willing to listen, we make it personal. There is no “they and them” in that conversation, there is “you,” there is that one singular person, a living soul who will stand before his Creator and give an account of their life.

Whether it be face to face or in the comment section of any social media site, the subject matter never changes, the place their soul will spend eternity. What we attempt to do is show them they have been deceived their whole life up to that point, that they have been living a lie, that whatever perceptions they have about life after this life, if it does not rest in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ alone, if it does not rest in the truth of grace alone for the salvation of their soul, they will perish, they will be eternally damned.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

You are to plant the seed, if you meet them again you are to water that seed, each time you meet them you are to be as a husbandman, looking to see if that seed is growing, but over time, if it is clear it is not, you have no second seed to offer them. “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” (Matt. 7:6)

One on one, always make it personal, always offering the message of salvation, for that is what we are called to do.

I cannot recall the amount of times I have been led to pen these words, if you cannot envision them screaming in incomprehensible pain, if you cannot see them in utter and complete hopelessness, you will not reach out to them. This is why we care little how much we are buffeted, how much we are mocked, ridiculed and persecuted for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we know their end, their eternal state of torment if they reject Him who paid the price for them.

This is the only news we have to offer, this is what we have been sent to do, He is all that we have to give them. And He is all they need.

In this age of seemingly never-ending diversions, we are still the light of the world, we are the salt, we have the only news worth listening to. “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” (Daniel 12:4)

That useless knowledge is attempting to drown out the truth, fear of what does not matter is overriding in the hearts of most that which matters most. Make it personal, always make it personal, no one in hell cares what is happening here today.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
