All We Can Accept

“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” (1st Cor. 2:11)

There are things about my life that you will never know, and unless I decide to reveal them to you, you will never know them. The Holy Spirit reveals the mind of God to us, but only as much as what the Almighty wants revealed about Himself, and personally, I believe, only as much as we need to know, and it is not always if we need to know, but if we will accept as truth what might be revealed.

Look at the faces of some that you speak the truth of Isaiah 45:7 to and see if they are ready for this truth.

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.”

Remind them of the time the people simply opened the ark of the covenant to look inside and the Most High killed thousands of them. Watch the reaction on their face when you recall John 2:15. “And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;”

Not all of the truths of the Scriptures are well accepted by all who hear them, this is not the God they want to serve, this is not the God that not only exudes love, but is love itself, whom without Him love would not exist. It is not to say that they are not honestly born-again, these truths are known to them, but they would rather not contemplate them at length.

And we should never force them to.

Consider these people, in form, as the weaker vessel, able to hold some, but not much. In a sense, they are like the cruse that had enough in it for the day, and that was enough.

My grandmother’s greatest joy was getting on the old rickety Gospel Tabernacle church bus and going to gospel sing-a-longs with like-minded believers. She was not overly concerned with justification, she knew she was saved, she gave no great contemplative thoughts to sanctification, her heart had been and was continuing to be transformed by the renewing of her mind. Glorification would arrive one day, and until that day, singing His praises with the old gospel songs was enough for her.

I do not sing with my voice, but I have an almost insatiable need to know and understand the truth of Proverbs 1:6.

“To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.”

“Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.” (Psalm 42:7)

But to have this desire, to fully seek the face of God, to pray that He would reveal more of Himself to me constantly and accept what he determines that I can believe as truth what He reveals about Himself, one must realize these truths.

That the Almighty gives some over to a reprobate mind, that He does not choose all that He calls, that He hates some people, that He kills some people.

That His perfect love is balanced perfectly with His perfect justice.

That the Lord Jesus Christ is going to cast most of the people ever born in the Lake of Fire.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Heb. 11:6)

But only as much of Himself that He determines to reveal to you is all you will ever know, and He knows exactly how much that is for you.

The amount does not modify the truths of who the Living God is, your perception of Him does not alter in any fashion who He is, but there are some vessels that should not be forced to contemplate at length that which those of us who are desirous to know more of Him has been revealed to us.

“To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” (1st Cor. 9:22)

Forcing more into some vessels will not break them, but cracks may appear. Recognize that moment and leave them where they are.

There are several items I would ask you to consider before you click on the Donate button.

1.    Please pray carefully about donating; “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2nd Cor. 9:7)

2.    Your first responsibility is to the Lord; “Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase”: (Prov. 3:9)

3.    You must consider your family after your first responsibility; “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1st Tim. 5:8)

4.    If you determine that you have been blessed by this ministry and decide to donate, please know this, your donations will be accepted with great thanks, and all the glory will go to God.
