There are two items of this world that have always sold well, that have enticed people to spend their money, that have caused them to venture outside of their normal behavioral patterns and perform tasks that they would not necessarily concern themselves with.
One is sex, the other is fear.
And our adversary understood the need for both of them in his desire to perform the tasks, if I may use these words, that he was created for.
“Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” (Eze. 28:15)
To believe that the Almighty did not know what Satan would do long before He even created him would be foolishness, our adversary was created for an intended purpose, yet without delving too far into that truth, the choices he made while in heaven as the covering cherubim were entirely his. He made his choice, and he will be held accountable for it, just as all who have ever been born will.
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)
Most people I believe would say that sex, particularly sex outside of marriage, is a more tangible item of choice than fear is, but I would tend to disagree. Sex they would say is a more normal, more expected attribute of mankind, it occurs in nearly everything in one way or another in the creation of the Living God and therefore is, almost one could say, expected to occur. And I believe nearly all would agree that in what I might call this season of mankind, these particular days that we live in, deviant sexual desires are almost seen as a thing of the past.
“Do whatever thou will” is the new commandment of mankind, and for many, if not most, the fear of shame has almost diminished within them.
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:18)
When sexual immorality no longer causes fear, something else must, because those who do not fear cannot be controlled. So, in what I might call the grand scheme of these days, the supposed pandemic was released upon mankind at the appropriate time, and then, after a short reprieve, just to calm the masses down, the next step, if you will, arrived. And to put it in as they say a nutshell, the price of nearly everything has begun to rise at an alarming rate.
Because fear my friends sells better than sex.
Those that will hide in caves and call for the rocks to fall upon them are today becoming wealthier than even they ever thought possible. Those who desire to monitor, and thereby control the masses, even unto the construct of their thoughts, are gaining more of that which they desire above even great wealth, a form of power over humanity.
And the majority of people are assisting them in ways that they do not even recognize.
By being afraid. By being fearful of losing that which they have come to expect as a given for so long.
But there is one group of people that they cannot control.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” (1st Jon 4:18)
If your Father in heaven decides that He wants you to experience what Job experienced, can you live with that fear? That is the question you must be able to answer.
“And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (Job 1:21)
